July 2008 A Very Merry July To You All :
MURFEE MOMENT #91 - Why is lemon juice made with artificial
flavor and dishwashing liquid is made with real lemons?
Well we are officially halfway through 2008 already. And before
you know it we will all be staying up until midnight celebrating
another new year. But in the meantime, let’s enjoy our summer, shall
we?
The month of June wasn’t too eventful for me. Although I did see
various films in the theatres. I’ll discuss the two I wasn’t too
thrilled with now and tell you about the good one in my
recommendation section a little further down this blog. First – Sex
And The City. Being that my girlfriend watched the TV show, I was
one of those poor defenseless guys that got dragged into the movie.
It was an okay movie, but if you haven’t seen it yet and plan to,
don’t expect an hour and a half version of the show. That’s all I’ll
say as to not ruin anything for you. Second – Wanted. Although most
people would like this movie, I guess I’m just picky. It was so far
fetched that I had trouble getting into it. To me, it was The Matrix
meets Fight Club.
Dum .. Dum .. Dum .. Dum .. It’s that time again for …..
MURFEES MONTHLY MENTIONINGS
Theatre Flick : The Incredible Hulk – Starring : Edward Norton &
Liv Tyler
As stated earlier, this was the movie for me this month. If you
liked the first Hulk with Eric Bana, you’d love this version. It was
a little darker and aimed more at an adult audience and there was a
surprise at the end for all you Iron-Man fans.
Home Movie : War – Starring : Jason Statham & Jet Li
A very action packed flick with good acting. Everyone fit their
parts very well. And there is a huge surprise twist at the end.
Game (Video) : ATV VS MX Untamed – PS2
If you like video games and you like all sorts of terrain
vehicles, this is it for you. You can race with anything from
dirtbikes to monster trucks to souped up golf carts.
TV Show : Fear Itself – NBC
This is more of a bunch of movies actually. Every week they are
different thrillers and all are made by different movie makers such
as Wes Craven and M. Night Shamalyan.
Ear Candy : Stone Temple Pilots – Core
Under the Alternative category. This was their first album that
was released in the ‘90’s and still their best one to this date.
That could change with the forecasting of a new album later this
year.
Thrill : Bungee Jumping
Obviously not for the kids, although when I was in Canada a few
years back and did their reverse bunjee jump, I was followed by a
ten year old kid, that kind of made me not feel so super. Hehe
