SECTION 3:  Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken By WSEN-FM WSEN/WFBL aired a commercial encouraging Recruitment Agencies to contact us regarding employment with our stations.  They are asked to contact the Business Manager if they would like to be informed of any openings at our stations.  We run this ad on all stations for one week (15x) every month (staggered weeks between stations).  We also update our recruitment sources once a year to make sure of correct addresses and contact persons.  This allows us to be efficient when recruiting for a position.

Employment unit ran recruitment commercials for Syracuse Regional Help Wanted.com. This is a regional help wanted site on line with openings in all sectors located in Central New York. The unit runs 30 commercials per week promoting the on-air site. In addition we use the site for recruitment whenever we have openings at any of our stations. This site is a VERY broad classified advertising web site for local businesses by category. Postings on this on-line site also appear on Indeed.com as that site lists opening from all posted vacancies within the area of central New York.

During the Fall of 2013 and for the third time, Leatherstocking Media Group had an intern program in conjunction with the New York State BOCES program. We provided our intern with hands on work, including producing commercials and special programming that ran on all of our stations at various times during the broadcast week. In addition our intern learned and participated in reconciling commercial logs for our stations in Syracuse and Oneida as well as monthly invoicing of accounts. We felt that our intern was qualified to walk into any broadcast outlet in the region by the end of the program and obtain full-time employment in every area of the station with the exception of engineering.
